Yesterday, friends met to decorate our place to kick off the Christmas holidays. Grateful for the men and women who made sure our place looked beautiful! Stop by.

Portage Recovery collected canned goods to donate to the South Haven Salvation Army for this event. They are located at 799 Capital Road. Stop by to drop off a cash or food donation. Anything will help.

Happy Thanksgiving

Last night, a group of “young people” met to play trivia with friends as a means to raise money for a conference on “Black Wednesday”.  This particular day is known as the most popular drinking night, so we opened our doors for a sober event.  Huge success!  Friends connected to play in teams.  The competition was fierce.  Grateful to have opportunities for places to go to stay sober around this holiday.

Thankful for “young people” in recovery!

At least one-third of alcoholics fully recover.
Using prescription drugs to combat alcohol dependency, in combination with treatment, boost the recovery success rate to 50 percent.
There are an estimated 1.25 million Alcoholics Anonymous members in the U.S.
There are more than 25,000 Narcotics Anonymous groups in the world.
A majority of Americans (80 percent) have positive feelings about prevention and recovery from substance use disorders.
